MISSION–
Art in the Park is a fine arts and crafts festival that is held at the end of every summer in beautiful downtown Lawrence, Kansas. These street banners are displayed around town at various intersections advertising the event!
SOLUTION–
For this project, I aimed to create a vibrant collection of banners that not only captured attention for the event's friendly, artsy theme, but also maintained a consistent look and feel. I achieved this by making each banner a distinct color of the rainbow, allowing them to be visually appealing individually, in small groupings, or as a whole set. To meet the client's request for artist work representation, I divided the set into two halves—one focused on imagery and the other on typography. This approach creates diverse options for display, while maintaining cohesion when multiple banners are paired together.
